Medical Surgical Floor RN (MedSurg), Wisconsin (Medford)
A Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is available with rotating 12-hour variable shifts in Medford, Wisconsin. This role supports an environment where ICU and Med Surg are shared within the same unit, including the ability to read telemetry strips and provide direct patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shift schedule with 12-hour variable shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) via American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Associate Degree or Certificate.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree; Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience; Epic charting experience.
- Additional Information: ICU and Med Surg are a shared unit, with ICU having 3 beds. The unit operates as a 20-bed unit with typical census of 810. Weekend/holiday coverage is every other weekend and every other holiday. Occasional floating to other departments may be required to support non-primary needs without taking a full patient load, such as completing basic tasks (e.g., vital checks). During low census hours, travelers may be placed on call and may receive call-back pay if called back (call back minimum is 2 hours). During flu season, travelers who decline flu and covid vaccination are required to wear a mask at all times.
