Job Summary: Nurse Manager, Director of Nursing Chamberlain, South Dakota. The organization is seeking a Director of Nursing to provide clinical and administrative leadership and maintain standards of patient care. This role supports the implementation of the clinical vision, mission, and strategic plan, while partnering on programs, policies, procedures, and protocols to improve patient safety and health outcomes. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, as needed; 8 shift hours; minimum 40.0 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of Texas or compact); Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association); Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Minimum of 7 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting; Minimum of 710 years of healthcare management experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge in OB (obstetrics), Med Surg (medical-surgical), and ER (emergency department) or willingness to learn.
- Additional Information: Responsible for overseeing all nursing areas across the facility, including ER, Med Surg, OR, OB, Critical Care, Ambulatory Care, Trauma, Cardiac Rehab, Respiratory, Tele Respiratory Services, and other telehealth services. Monitors nursing operations and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Leads and supports a shared on-call rotation among clinical nursing leaders and the Director of Nursing to help ensure coverage while maintaining work-life balance.
