A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) located in Fullerton, California, is sought to provide expert maternal care in a high-volume labor unit. - Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours/week, including working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Required Qualifications: California license in hand; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP certifications; minimum 1.5 years of recent labor and delivery experience with expert sterile vaginal exam skills; Epic charting system experience; two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years; LA fire card within the last 30 days; ability to work weekends; open to working weekdays and weekends as unit needs demand.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to perform sterile speculum exams independently without supervision, prior experience with high-risk deliveries, familiarity with neonatal procedures, and fluency in obstetrical emergency protocols.
- Additional Information: Must include RTO requests at time of submission; candidates with prior experience at a Providence facility should specify location and dates; candidates should confirm willingness to float within the state; travel experience not required.
- Unit Details: Supports neonates, adolescents, and adults with an average of 6-8 deliveries per day, 13 rooms, and 15 beds.
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP required.
- EMR: Epic charting system experience required.
