Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Vascular Interventional Radiology unit, requiring 2+ years of VIR experience and active ARRT certification.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) / Neuro-Vascular Angiography unit
- Patient population includes adolescents and adults
- Primarily Monday–Friday day shift hours (8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week)
- PM, weekend, and holiday on-call shifts required
- On-call pager response required, which may include evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Procedures performed within a sterile/aseptic environment
- Experience with Siemens and Philips equipment preferred
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
- 13-week assignment, on-site only
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of VIR experience required; candidates with 3 or more total travel assignments may also meet the experience threshold
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- Active ARRT R.T.(R) registration required; no pending license accepted
- ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) registration required within 18 months of start date; VI certification preferred at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
- License required if applicable
- Experience with VIR and NIR/Stroke procedures preferred
- Experience with Siemens and Philips equipment preferred
- Associate's degree preferred
- Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images meeting departmental standards for Radiology and assigned OR areas
- Maintain competency across a variety of imaging equipment and technology while adhering to safety guidelines for patients and staff
- Flexibility required to staff various work locations and shift lengths
- Fosters teamwork through effective communication within a collaborative radiology team
- COVID vaccination and booster required
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 2+ years of VIR experience or 3 total travel assignments are required
