Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience for a 13-week travel contract at a large academic, Level I Trauma acute care hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level I Trauma designation and 1,259 staffed beds
- Works in a 9-room Interventional Radiology department
- Daily caseload of 6–8 procedures per technologist
- Procedures include central venous catheter placements/replacements, diagnostic angiograms, Y-90 mappings and treatments, gastrostomy tubes, percutaneous nephrostomy tubes, peripheral artery disease leg cases, and other vascular procedures
- C-arm and contrast procedures are a regular part of the role
- Charting via Epic; experience required
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, with one Saturday shift (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) per 13-week period
- Weekend call coverage spans Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM, assigned 1–2 times per 13-week contract
- Backup shift assignment expected approximately once per week, as procedural work may extend beyond the scheduled shift end time
- Floating within the facility and within clinical scope is required; no floating to sister facilities
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required; 2 years preferred
- ARRT (R) and BLS required; ARRT (VI) preferred
- C-arm and contrast experience required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Experience with Siemens or GE ultrasound preferred
- Valid Missouri state license required; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (license required if applicable)
- First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Scrub colors are limited to black, red, or white
- No RTO during the first week of orientation; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
- Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Allied travelers may work at this facility for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
