Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of hospital experience for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Corpus Christi, TX.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit located on the 3rd floor of an acute care hospital in Corpus Christi, TX
- 15-bed inpatient rehab unit with a staff of approximately 20, including PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and a rehab tech
- Patient ratio of 5 patients per therapist
- Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with at least 2 weekend days required per month
- Typical procedures include evaluations, treatments, and modified barium swallows (MBS) for speech therapy support
- Equipment includes basic lift equipment and standard therapy equipment
- EMR: Meditech
- Floating to acute care areas of the hospital may be required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent hospital-based PT experience required; allied candidates must have active experience within the last 6 months
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Active PT license required if applicable
- Hospital experience is required; candidates without this will not be considered
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred
- CARE scoring experience preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Daily responsibilities include PT evaluations and ongoing treatments across the inpatient rehab unit
- Team-oriented, energetic personality is a strong fit for this unit
- Navy blue scrubs are required
