Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician (Surgical Tech) position is located in Birmingham, Alabama. The role involves supporting surgical procedures in a hospital environment within the Department of Surgery. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires prior experience in neuro/spine, orthopedics, and vascular surgeries, along with proficiency in the use of specialized robotics and endovascular techniques.
Job Details:

- Shift: Days, 06:00 AM 04:30 PM
- Hours per Week: 40 hours minimum
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), National Certification Corporation (NCC or NBSTSA), current state license pending, 2 years of experience in surgical settings, with prior experience in neuro/spine, orthopedics, and vascular surgeries.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Globus, Mazor robotics for spine, Mako for joints, craniotomies, and endovascular procedures. Experience with Da Vinci surgical systems and Maxillofacial procedures is a plus.
- Additional Information: Candidate should have familiarity with the Cerner Electronic Medical Record system and trauma level I or III experience is preferred. This position involves working with general, orthopedic, and plastic surgery cases; neuro/spine and vascular experience not seen in candidate's background.
