Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ICU experience for a night shift position requiring every other weekend availability and flexibility to float across multiple hospital locations.
Details
- Hospital-based respiratory therapy position within a large health system
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend work is required
- Floating required between multiple affiliated hospital campuses
- Cerner charting experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current RRT credential from the NBRC
- Indiana or Compact respiratory therapy license required if applicable
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum 18 months of recent ICU experience (within the last 2 years)
- Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates; local candidates may be accepted at a different pay package for Allied positions
- Candidates must be comfortable with and aware of the every other weekend requirement prior to submission
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Former permanent or PRN employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within this health system are required to take a designated break before resetting eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, and in-state residents require a 180-day break
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved during the contract
