Job Summary:
A licensed Cytologist located in Springfield, Illinois, is sought to fill a position working primarily with cytology laboratory procedures. The candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests, preparing specimens, and ensuring quality control within an outpatient laboratory setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role starts on 07/20/2026, with an employment duration of 13 to 26 weeks and requires working dayshift hours.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 5x8 Days (0700-1530), minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Illinois license in hand at submission, ASCP-Cytotechnologist (ASCP-CT) certification, minimum of 3 years of cytology laboratory experience, outpatient laboratory experience, Cerner charting system experience, and immunizations including flu vaccine (medical or religious exemptions only)
- Preferred Qualifications: Outpatient lab experience and previous charge experience of 3 years
- Float: No
- Additional Information: Must be in Illinois three business days prior to compliance health document processing to meet fingerprinting requirements. Candidate must be available to work two out of three major holidays. Submissions must include 2-3 interview times, SSN, and date of birth. Pending references can be submitted.
