Work Environment
- Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
- Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.
- Employees are required to have reasonable access to transportation to meet work requirements made in the ordinary course of business in a timely and efficient manner.

HIPAA Roles-Based Access to Patient Information
- Clinical – Access to patient information that is not restricted (an example of restricted information is ARU) – Level 3
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor degree in Nursing
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible, relevant clinical experience
Preferred:
- Previous supervisory experience
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
Preferred:
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (Nursing Administration and/or clinical practice area)
The Nurse Manager provides leadership for her/his designated area of responsibility in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Administration, Nurse Practice Act, and Code of Ethics for Nursing in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Strategic plan for the Nursing Division.
