Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a hospital-wide Float Pool assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry and stepdown experience and be comfortable caring for a variety of patient populations, including Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, PCU, and Emergency Department hold patients. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in multiple clinical settings throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in PCU, Telemetry, Med Surg, and ER Hold environments
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry patients
- Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Perform IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and patient assessments
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Respond to rapid response and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Requirements
Active RN License
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, Stepdown, Telemetry, or Acute Care experience
Previous travel nursing experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
EPIC experience preferred
First-time travelers will not be considered
