First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly specialized Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) in Akron, Ohio. Operating within the renowned, Magnet®-designated Heart Center at Akron Children's Hospital, this role is optimized as a stable, 32-hour weekly day schedule. - Weekly Gross: $2,334.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246.00

đź“… SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 4x8-Hours (07:00 AM - 15:30 PM), Monday through Friday. Block scheduling formats are not available.
- Guaranteed Hours: 32 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- On-Call Requirements: Department call is shared equally among the department Nurse Clinicians, including rotating weekend standby schedules.
- EMR Charting System: Epic EMR experience is preferred but not an absolute requirement.
- Dual Clinical Scope & Setting: Unique dual-role design spanning across both the Cardiac Operating Room and the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The selected nurse will provide comprehensive pre-procedure assessments for outpatients scheduled in the Cath Lab, as well as serve actively in the scrubbing and circulating roles for surgical blocks.
- Clinical Knowledge Profile: Requires an advanced level of knowledge regarding pediatric cardiac anatomy and physiology in relation to cardio-thoracic surgery, diagnostic/interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, complex ablations, and pacemaker/defibrillator implantations.
- Cross-Functional Heart Center Responsibilities: Additional cross-functional support includes assisting alternate clinical areas within the Heart Center, aiding research initiatives, maintaining medical databases, teaching, and contributing to ongoing program development.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of active acute care experience required. Operating Room (OR) nursing experience is strictly required. Preferably looking for clinicians with at least two (2) years of dedicated pediatric cardiovascular nursing experience.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Ohio State Nursing License must be fully active and completely in-hand at the exact moment of initial profile presentation—no exceptions.
- Certifications Required: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certifications are required.
- Vaccine Guidelines: Full compliance with standard facility Influenza vaccination rules is required (approved medical or religious exemptions are accepted). COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
