Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is located in Washington, D.C. This role involves providing specialized care within a multidisciplinary critical care environment. The nurse will be responsible for managing complex patient needs using advanced technology and adhering to all regulatory and licensure requirements. The position is scheduled for night shifts with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a demanding setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of District of Columbia.
- ICU experience of at least 3 years.
- Cerner experience.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- BSN degree is highly desired.
- Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility.
- NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience caring for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients.
- Familiarity with ventilators, cardiac monitors, arterial lines, PICC lines, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, CRRT, and infusion pumps.
- Additional Information:
- The ICU is a multidisciplinary unit providing care across a broad spectrum of critical care disciplines with advanced technology.
- Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community through comprehensive patient care.
