Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Florence, Alabama. This role involves providing specialized care in the postpartum unit, focusing on maternal and neonatal health, with a focus on fetal monitoring, emergency response, and postpartum care. The position offers a guaranteed 36 hours per week, with an emphasis on night shift coverage.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified in ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; location in Florence, Alabama
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postpartum care, fetal assessment, emergency response, and time management skills
- Additional Information: Candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance. Weekly orientation occurs on Mondays. Blocked scheduling is available. The unit features 9 beds with patient ratios of 1:1, and utilizes Centricity and Meditech electronic health record systems. Postpartum care involves managing cases such as normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage. The team values adaptability, attention to detail, stamina, strong communication, teamwork, and empathy.
