This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend, with holiday coverage as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. The position involves monitoring patients with various medical conditions, administering medications, and ensuring high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and make assessments based on patient condition.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team discussions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
- Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Current and active RN license.
- BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
- Previous Charge RN experience is preferred.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
