Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is based in San Antonio, TX. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Job Details:
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Unit: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
- Shift Details: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM / 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, rotating every other weekend
- Required Qualifications: Valid Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 2+ years of ICU experience, ACLS certification, and BLS certification, NIH (National Institutes of Health) required
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system, additional certifications relevant to ICU care
- Float Policy: All travelers are required to float as needed, with clear understanding of Methodist floating policies
- Unit Specifics: 14 ICU beds, patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU, 1:5 in Med/Surg, standard ICU equipment, and documentation using Meditech system
- Dress Code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket; neat and clean hair; body art covered when possible; minimal facial piercings
