Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager position is based in New York and involves overseeing clinical nursing practices within a healthcare organization. Job Details:
- Schedule: 7:30 am - 3:00 pm, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in nursing; current registered nurse license in New York State; 3-5 years of nursing clinical care experience with preferred Charge Nurse or supervisory experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Nursing or a health-related field; supervisory or charge nurse experience in a clinical setting; knowledge of high reliability principles, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality improvement strategies
- Responsibilities: Lead nursing practice utilizing the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care and Modified Primary Nursing; promote patient experience excellence through purposeful hourly rounding and staff engagement; conduct shift huddles and effective communication among team members; initiate service recovery and escalate concerns appropriately; monitor quality and safety compliance; participate in root cause analysis and safety initiatives; ensure clinical documentation accuracy and staff competence; foster a safety-oriented culture and quality improvement practices
- Additional Information: This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical competence in nursing practice, and a focus on safety, quality, and patient satisfaction. The Nurse Manager will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and strive to create a therapeutic environment for optimal patient outcomes.
