Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Days)
Location: Evansville, IN
Shift: Days | 3x12s (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (48-hour option available)

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med Surg patients.
- Care for post-surgical, sepsis, COPD, CHF, UTI, and high fall-risk patients.
- Manage chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, Foley catheters, ostomies, PCA pumps, and Heparin drips.
- Administer blood products and provide tracheostomy care.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Float within your skill set as needed.
Requirements
- Active Compact RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience
- At least 1 previous travel assignment
- Level II Trauma experience
- Recent Epic EMR experience
Assignment Details
- 41-bed Medical Surgical unit
- Day ratios: 1:4–5
- Every 3rd weekend (3 weekends per 6-week schedule)
- Every other holiday
- Float to affiliated campuses within the health system as needed
- Teaching hospital; may assist with precepting students and new staff
