Job Summary
This opportunity is for a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse (NICU Nurse) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Austin, Texas. The position involves providing high-quality patient care in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility. The role requires overseeing labor, delivery, and postpartum processes within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including managing high-risk pregnancies and neonatal emergencies.
Job Details
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Texas
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery / Perinatal experience in high-volume delivery settings
- Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery service
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification
- Additional Information:
- This position involves working in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility with comprehensive maternity services including LDR suites, C-section suites, Triage rooms, and NICU coverage.
- The facility is a high-risk, fast-paced environment performing over 500 deliveries per month, with 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage.
- The role supports an academic teaching service along with large private OB practices.
