Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Lubbock, Texas. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within a Level II Trauma Center. The role requires flexibility across multiple surgical specialties, including trauma, neuro, orthopedic, and robotic surgeries, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Days, 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: Block schedule requiring coverage on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Texas licensed RN with at least 2 years of experience, including clinical experience in the operating room; certified in ACLS and BLS; experience with Epic charting system required; valid compact license in hand at time of application
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma, neuro, orthopedic, robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi / DV5), and blood and blood products administration
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 in the OR during procedures
- Float: Float rotation may be required between units within the healthcare organization
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Must include response to prior employment at a Providence facility if applicable, with location and dates. References covering one year within the last three years are required.
