Requirements
- Active RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (Required)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a high-acuity Stepdown Unit caring for critically ill patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition.
- Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, IV therapy, and emergency interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to prioritize patient care.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment while recognizing and responding to emergencies.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, National Patient Safety Goals, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Promote a safe, patient-centered environment while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
