Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse in Napa, California. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care on a specialized inpatient rehabilitation unit, focusing on stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neurological or orthopedic conditions. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality clinical services in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California license, 2 years of clinical experience, experience with acute inpatient rehab and orthopedic patient care, proficiency in Epic charting system, BSN certification preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurological and orthopedic conditions, prior travel experience, and charting proficiency in Epic.
- Float: Possible float to other units or affiliate hospitals within the hospital.
- Additional Information: Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Valid California license in hand is required; pending licenses are not accepted. Candidates must be local within a 50-mile radius of Napa. References covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) are required, including Charge RNs or Lead Travelers.
- Patient Populations: Adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and pulmonary conditions.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Patients participate in 3 hours of therapy daily, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology, depending on rehab diagnosis.
- Holidays: Traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays.
- Other: Travelers may be expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities.
