Opportunity:

Job Details:
• 13-week contract with ASAP start date
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (hours not guaranteed during orientation week or holidays when unit is closed)
• Contract end date falls on Sunday
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May float to higher acuity inpatient units as needed
• Low census periods may occur in 4-hour increments; traveler may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry focus
• Patient population includes stable/weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, stroke, and primary patients on insulin drips
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required (firm)
• Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
• Ventilator/trach experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: Any color
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage independently, complete tasks in a timely manner, and adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment
