CT Manager Opportunity – Peoria, IL
Direct Hire | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
A leading healthcare organization in Peoria, IL is seeking an experienced CT Manager to lead its Computed Tomography department. This role is ideal for an experienced CT Technologist or Imaging Leader who enjoys mentoring staff, improving operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Position Overview
- Permanent, full-time leadership position
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- 40-hour work week
- Manage daily operations of the CT department
- Lead staff while maintaining clinical expertise in CT imaging
Compensation & Benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the CT department
- Supervise, mentor, and support CT technologists and department staff
- Perform CT imaging procedures as needed
- Ensure high-quality patient care and image quality standards
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety requirements
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, workflow optimization, and departmental performance
- Start IVs and administer contrast according to department protocols
- Partner with Radiology leadership to support departmental initiatives and continuous improvement
- Foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture focused on clinical excellence
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an imaging modality within a medical center-based imaging department (CT, Radiology, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience performing CT examinations
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience operating GE CT scanners
- Ability to independently start IVs
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Licensure & Certifications
- ARRT Certification (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- IEMA Certification (Required)
- Active Illinois license or proof that the Illinois licensure process has been initiated
Department Details
- 640-bed Level I Trauma Center
- CT department equipped with 5 GE CT scanners
- No floating to other departments required
- EMR: Epic
Patient Population
- High-acuity emergency and inpatient population
- Level I Trauma patients
- Adult and specialty imaging patients across the medical center
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 40-hour work week
- No call required
- No holiday requirement (candidate willingness appreciated)
- Department-specific orientation (typically one week)
