Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, Women’s Health, or Pediatrics preferred.
Certifications: Current BLS required; ACLS, PALS, SANE-A, AFN-C, LNCC preferred.
Core Competencies: Exceptional communication skills, emotional resilience, strict adherence to patient confidentiality, and the ability to work independently under high-stress conditions.

United Health Services is seeking a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking. In this highly specialized role, the SAFE RN delivers comprehensive medical-forensic services, conducts forensic examinations, collects and preserves evidence, administers prophylactic medications, and supports patients through every step of their care journey with dignity, empathy, and professionalism.
Working in accordance with New York State Department of Health guidelines, the SAFE RN collaborates closely with physicians, victim advocates, law enforcement, and other community partners to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
