Job Summary:
The location is in Edison, New Jersey. The EEG Technologist Registered position involves performing standard and complex electroencephalogram procedures for inpatient and outpatient patients. This role requires providing technical assistance, documenting all procedures accurately, and supporting departmental goals and development initiatives within the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit. The shift operates from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. 5x8 hours. Weekends and holidays as needed. On-call required.
- Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience, high school diploma or GED, Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or equivalent, AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (HCP) Certification, eligible for ABRET registration.
- Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Natus and Nihon Kohden systems, inpatient and outpatient EEG experience, experience working with both pediatric and adult patient populations.
- Skills: Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft or Google productivity suite.
- Additional Information: Role involves performing neurodiagnostic procedures with moderate supervision, supporting new program development, and training students. On-call duties are required, and candidates should possess excellent communication skills and technical proficiency in EEG procedures.
