Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehab unit, welcoming new grads and requiring current BLS certification.
Details
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital setting with 93 beds, 80 currently staffed
- Patient population spans all ages, averaging 65 years old, with occasional pediatric cases
- Caseload is approximately 60% neurologic conditions (spinal cord injury, stroke, MS, ALS, Parkinson's) and 40% other diagnoses
- Typical productivity involves 6-6.5 hours of direct patient care, treating 6-7 patients per day at about 1 hour each
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
- No weekend scheduling required
- Uses WellSky EMR
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required
- New graduates are accepted
- Experience with neurologic patient populations preferred, including spinal cord injury, stroke, MS, ALS, and Parkinson's disease
- Experience with post-op spinal surgery and spinal mobilization preferred
- Familiarity with Neurodevelopmental Technique (NDT) is a plus
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients with neurologic and orthopedic conditions in an inpatient rehab setting
- Treats a range of neurologic conditions including cognitive disorders, concussion, muscular dystrophy, nerve palsy, traumatic brain injury, and dementia/Alzheimer's
- Scrub color requirement is black and/or red
- Open to first-time travelers
- Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate
