Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) The organization is seeking experienced PICU RNs to provide specialized, family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents. This role involves float nursing between multiple facilities, covering critical care units such as Pediatric Intensive Care Units and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units, with scheduled 12-hour shifts during nights.
Job Details
- Position Description: Critical Care RN responsible for coordinating and delivering family-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process. This includes independent nursing functions and delegated medical procedures in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Location: The position involves floating between hospitals to support PICU and CVICU units at designated healthcare facilities.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, MN RN license or MN Temporary Permit-RN, BLS certification, PALS certification, and 18 months PICU or pediatric CVICU nursing experience, including the ability to care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative patients and trauma or cardiac surgical patients.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, scheduled straight days or straight nights, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid MN RN license or MN Temp Permit-RN, BLS certification, PALS certification, and 18 months PICU or pediatric CVICU nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical and trauma patients or cardiac surgical patients.
- Additional Information: Float rotation may be required.
