Job Details
- Position Description: Telemetry nurse responsible for patient monitoring, treatment administration, and clinical documentation for a specialized cardiac care unit.
- Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse license; 2+ years of hospital or specialty experience; ACLS and BLS certifications; proficiency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias; ability to work collaboratively in a team setting; effective communication skills.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and some holidays.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac medications, IV drip management including insulin and heparin, and post-procedure patient care.
- Additional Information: Candidates must use AIDET communication techniques, demonstrate flexibility in floating policies, and follow unit-specific procedures such as line management, cardiac catheterization care, and Meditech documentation.
