Registered Nurse - Women's and Families Maternity Unit
Schedule
This position requires 3 × 12-hour shifts per week on the NOC schedule (19:00 – 07:30). You will be expected to work at least 1-2 weekends per month but no holidays.
Job Description
The Women's and Families Maternity Unit is a family-centered, multidisciplinary care area dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience. Our team collaborates with nurses, physicians, and advanced practice providers to deliver high-quality antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care while promoting patient safety and positive birth experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care.
- Float to Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as needed.
- Support the physical, emotional, and educational needs of every family.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for patient-centered care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in a maternity unit.
- Experience with postpartum care, baby care, and antepartum monitoring.
- BLS and NRP certifications are required.
- Fetal monitoring experience is necessary (certificate not required).
