Job Description
Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients dealing with mental health and addiction issues.
Responsibilities
- Conduct shift assessments, respond to code blues, and manage admissions and discharges.
- Administer medications, both emergency and regular, while ensuring compliance with patient care protocols.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for accurate documentation of patient interactions and care plans.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Implement de-escalation techniques when needed and manage patient crises appropriately.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must possess an Associate's degree in Nursing.
- Current BLS and Handle With Care (HWC) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting.
- Proficiency in handling the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) and the Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS).
- Experience with Pyxis and HCS systems is preferred.
