Experience & Qualifications

Experience Required: Typical step-down type patient experience required.
License & Certifications: Active RN license and required certifications: ACLS and BLS.

Clinical & Unit Overview

Unit Details: 18-bed IMU (Intermediate Monitoring Unit) stepdown unit.
Patient Ratios: 1:3 patient ratio (supported by 1 patient care tech per shift).
Titratable Drips: RNs are required to titrate drips including Nitroglycerin (up to 150 mcg/kg/min), Neo (up to 100 mcg/min), and Cardene (up to 10 mg/hr).
Telemetry & Equipment: Telemetry on all patients; RNs read strips. Equipment includes BiPap and CPAP.
