Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) specialty in a night shift position offers a dynamic environment within an interdisciplinary healthcare team. The role involves contributing professional and clinical expertise to patient care and may include floating across local campuses within the same discipline. The position is ideal for candidates with a minimum of two years of recent Med Surg experience, including stepdown or cardiac care, and necessitates certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license, work history/resume, skills checklist completed within 1 year, license verification, and current certifications in BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association). Must have at least 2 years of recent Med Surg experience, with stepdown or cardiac experience preferred. First-time travelers are accepted.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in stepdown or cardiac units.
- Float: Float within the same discipline across local campuses may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves a patient to nurse ratio of approximately 1:5-6 during days and 1:6-7 during nights. The candidate must be prepared to work during federally recognized summer holidays and participate in an orientation schedule starting from 09/21/2026 through 12/28/2026. Submission requires a supervisory reference.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
- State Licenses: Valid licenses for Iowa and Illinois.
- Uniform: Black or navy blue scrubs.
