Job Summary
Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) - Contract Position Location unspecified. This role involves working within a specialized GI Lab environment, supporting outpatient procedures, preoperative and phase II Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) activities, and floating to sister facilities as needed. The position emphasizes clinical expertise and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CGRNSkills include administering conscious sedation, airway management, balloon dilators, bronchoscopy, bronchoscopy cart and supplies, circulate duties, colonoscopy, dilators, disposable grounding pads, electronic fetal monitoring, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, lithotripters, monitoring conscious sedation, obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG, opioid analgesics, outpatient endoscopy procedures, polyp snares, pre/post procedure, Propofol, Provation, recovery from conscious sedation, recovery from monitored anesthesia care sedation, reversal agents, sclerotherapy, scrub duties, specimen handling and labeling, starting and maintaining IVs, Versed usage.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in outpatient endoscopy centers preferred.
- Additional Unit Information: Will cover preoperative and phase II Post-Anesthesia Care Unit activities and float to sister facilities as assigned. Clinicians will be informed at least 24 hours in advance about floating and scheduling.
- Submission Requirements: Must include responses regarding prior employment at a Providence facility, with location and dates worked, and provide 2 references covering the last year (6 months for CNAs).
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
