Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the Department of Labor and Delivery at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing critical care to expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth. Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, managing painincluding epiduralsassisting with both vaginal and surgical deliveries, and educating families on postpartum recovery.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: One year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, current nursing license verifying eligibility to work in the state, and valid drivers license or state ID.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a stressful environment. Standard precautions involving personal protective equipment are required. The traveler will be expected to work up to six weekend shifts and holidays as needed per department needs.
