Our client in Iowa is seeking a Physician specializing in Emergency Medicine for a 60-day assignment beginning May 26, 2026. This role involves in-house coverage with 24-hour shifts (7a-7a), occasionally 12-hour, focusing on an average of 4 ED patients daily. Responsibilities include suturing, wound care, incision & draining, and splinting.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide in-house emergency department coverage (provider sleep room available).
- Manage an average of 4 ED patients per day.
- Perform emergency medicine duties including suturing, wound care, incision & draining, and splinting.
- Address a wide range of outpatient services, including laboratory, radiology, rehabilitation services, infusion service, and ambulatory surgery.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine is required.
- The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system utilized is Epic.
