Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing perioperative nursing care within the surgical setting, supporting various types of surgical procedures, and working independently to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position offers an evening shift schedule from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evenings, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Iowa (IA) nursing license or multi-state compact license; active license at the time of submission; BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC/Red Cross; proficient experience with EPIC electronic medical records; minimum 24 months of current operating room experience; minimum of 24 months of recent travel OR experience within the previous 15 months; proficient in DaVinci robotic equipment and OR procedures including orthopedic with total joints, spine, and general surgery; scrub experience preferred; well-rounded OR RN capable of circulating independently across various cases.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Mako and Rosa robotic equipment, especially in total joints cases.
- Additional Information:
- Minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience required.
- Skills checklist must be discipline-specific (Operating Room Nurse/RN).
- No local candidates; all applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on drivers license.
- Candidate must have a clean employment history, with no recent past employment at the same organization in a travel capacity within the last 12 months.
- Mandatory participation in 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
- Call back pay at 1.5x with a minimum of 2 hours; on-call pay is not applicable.
- Submission requires a professional reference, and drivers license document.
- The start date is 09/14/2026 with an expected end date of 12/14/2026.
