Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Kansas City, Missouri. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care within a 38-bed emergency department environment. The role requires ensuring patient safety, delivering urgent care, and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details:
- Location: The organizations emergency department is located at a medical facility with a 38-bed capacity, including main areas, rapid response zones, and psych-safe POD 3.
- Schedule: Evenings shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience in emergency nursing or a related acute care setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training, experience with de-escalation, strong prioritization, and time management skills. Additional certifications in emergency procedures are a plus.
- Responsibilities: Provide patient assessment, emergency interventions, establish IVs and port placements, manage chest tubes, and utilize EMR systems such as Meditech. Maintain patient safety protocols, de-escalate potentially volatile situations, and deliver compassionate, patient-focused care.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to start on 09/28/2026 and work through 12/28/2026.
