Our client in Missouri is actively seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for an engaging 182-day assignment, beginning Oct 19, 2026. This role involves seeing patients in an urgent care setting, performing essential minor procedures, and reading EKGs and X-rays, supported by medical assistants, scribes, and rad techs. The schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, covering weekdays from 8 AM to 8 PM and weekends from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Responsibilities and Duties
- See patients in an urgent care setting.
- Perform minor procedures including suturing, wound care, incision and draining, and splinting.
- Interpret X-rays and EKGs; onsite X-ray and EKG available.
- Perform drawing blood procedures.
- Comfortably manage minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints.
- Care for both adult and pediatric patients (aged 6 months and older).
- Work collaboratively with medical assistants, scribes, and rad techs as support staff.
- Manage a patient volume of 36-48 patients per shift.
- Note: The facility does not have newborn deliveries or an L&D department.
Additional Information
- Board certifications required in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
- Experience with Epic EMR is preferred and highly valued.
- Must demonstrate proof of 50 patient encounters within the last 12 months, with experience correlating to the requested privileges.
- Submission of a self-evaluation detailing proficiency in required procedures, independent work, and experience with pediatrics (6+ months) is essential for consideration.
