Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for general medical, surgical, short-stay, orthopaedic, stroke, and remote telemetry-monitored patients in a 30-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Perform EKG interpretation, IV insertion, Foley insertion, and medication administration
- Complete vital signs monitoring, assessment documentation, and point-of-care testing including blood glucose
- Assist with rapid sequence intubation (RSI) as needed
- Float to other units as required per facility floating requirements
- Document all care accurately using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Pennsylvania
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with remote telemetry monitoring
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Prior experience caring for orthopaedic and/or stroke patients
