Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse (MS ONC) Nights Location unspecified. The role requires working 12-hour night shifts to support patient care and unit operations.
Job Details
- Location: unspecified, with a local radius restriction of 50 miles
- Position Description: The role involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as strokes, spines, traumatic brain injuries, altered mental status, total joints, external fixation, and fractures. Experience with stroke and neuro patient care is required; additional experience with total joints is preferred.
- Required Qualifications: BLS, NIHSS certifications; Oregon or eligible for 90-day temporary license; minimum of 2 years of experience in a related setting; experience or skills in neuro and ortho care.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Floating: Float rotation may be required, with the possibility of floating to other MedSurg units, ICU, ER, or serve as a sitter.
- Additional Information: The unit prioritizes teamwork and emphasizes bedside reporting and hourly rounding. The team includes charge nurses, break nurses, house supervisors, and outreach RNs available 24/7. Nurses need a basic understanding of strip interpretation and lethal rhythms, and are expected to work collaboratively without scheduling requests such as blocks. Scrubs are provided, and dress code policies must be followed.
