Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Rotate across like units or sister facilities as needed, consistent with staff nurse expectations
- Participate in holiday rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Be prepared to support emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or Stepdown experience required
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Required Certifications: ACLS and BLS
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers with ICU and/or Stepdown background will be considered
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
