- Shift Duration: 8-hour evenings
- Shift Pattern: Rotating days and nights, every other weekend, 3x12s
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient adolescent psych or behavioral health nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- De-escalation training or certification required; SAFE Training Course may be completed onsite if needed
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
- Comfortable floating to adolescent and geriatric behavioral health units
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in an inpatient behavioral health and psychiatric environment
- Support adolescent psych and geriatric behavioral health units as needed
- Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to promote patient safety
- Monitor patient condition, document care accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and ongoing treatment planning
- Maintain a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for patients and staff
- Participate in unit routines, patient observation, and crisis intervention when necessary
