Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and Level I trauma CT experience.
Details
- Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM at the main campus
- Holiday rotation required
- On-call rotation shared with staff
- May float within scope to sister facilities and to Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Works across adult acute care, outpatient, Emergency Department, ICU, and Level I Trauma settings
- Utilizes Siemens CT equipment, PACS, and Sectra for image display and post-processing
- Charts using Epic EMR
- Performs abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies with and without contrast
- Conducts special procedures including biopsies, aspirations, drainage, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, brain perfusion, and colonography
Requirements
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
- South Carolina state license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred; 6 months of Level I trauma CT experience required
- Experience with Siemens CT equipment required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement
- Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
Additional Information
- Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma status and 865 staffed beds
- Scrub color requirement is teal top with black bottom
- First-time travelers considered if they have prior relevant CT experience
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility or may be considered as local on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
- Travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season, which runs June through November
- Attendance at staff meetings is expected
- Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
