Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- Compact license required at submission if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CCRN certifications required
- Strong experience with ventilated patients, arterial lines, central line care, vasoactive drips, and dysrhythmia management
- Ability to care for complex critical care patients including CRRT, ECMO, ARDS, and post-procedure cardiac patients
- Must be comfortable floating to other units and nearby sister facilities as needed
- Must have reliable transportation for the assignment
- Two professional references covering the last year of experience within the past 3 years
Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care for adult ICU patients in a collaborative critical care environment
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, oxygenation status, hemodynamics, and arterial blood gases
- Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, invasive lines, and advanced critical care equipment
- Administer and titrate vasoactive medications, sedation, paralytics, and other IV therapies as ordered
- Care for patients requiring CRRT, ECMO support, IABP, VADs, and other specialized interventions
- Support patients with complex diagnoses such as respiratory failure, stroke, multisystem organ dysfunction, and post-neurosurgical needs
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, imaging, and other support teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and deliver safe, timely, compassionate patient care
- Adapt to changing unit needs and contribute to a strong team environment
