Exciting Opportunity for an IMCU RN!
Job Description:
- **Unit:** IMCU
- **Shift:** 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- **Block Scheduling:** Not promised or guaranteed
- **Floating Required:** Yes
- **Scrub Color:** Navy Blue
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide exceptional care for patients in an Intermediate Care Unit.
- Manage a diverse patient population including those with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.
- Utilize specialty equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo.
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists to assist with patients on chronic vents.
**Common Diagnoses:**
- Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions including:
- COPD
- DKA
- Sepsis
- Myocardial Infarction (MI)
- CV stepdown
- Post-operative care
**Patient Demographics:**
- Adults aged 18 and above
- 64 beds in total, including 15 designated neuro beds
**Submission Requirements:**
- Up-to-date resume with 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience and travel experience.
- Skills Checklist that matches specialty.
- Driver's license with address that matches demographics.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
- NURSYS report for license verification (ACTIVE NY License & ALL RN licenses).
- RTO must be included at the time of submission.
- EMR experience required: EPIC.
