Job Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or a compact state license
Prior experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or high-acuity settings preferred
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
TNCC and ENPC preferred or obtained within the expected timeframe after hire
Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and rapid decision-making skills
Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced Emergency Department
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive and focused assessments for emergent, urgent, and non-urgent patients
Use evidence-based triage principles to determine acuity and prioritize care
Provide rapid intervention and stabilization for medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to policy and provider orders
Monitor and operate emergency equipment, including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices
Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, EMS, and the broader ED care team
Coordinate diagnostic testing, re-evaluations, disposition planning, and patient education
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
Participate in trauma, rapid response, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols as needed
Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention, and compassionate, patient-centered care
