Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position available in a Level I trauma center within a healthcare facility. The role involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a focus on handling high-acuity cases and managing trauma, cardiac, neurologic, and behavioral health emergencies.

- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years RN experience, including at least 1 full year of recent Emergency Department experience in high acuity settings
- Experience must be hands-on and independent; observational or orientation-only ER experience does not qualify
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks with no 48-hour contracts or special schedule requests.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information:
- Experience managing trauma, cardiac, neurologic, medical, surgical, burn patients, and behavioral health crises required.
- Competency in airway and respiratory management, including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, mechanical ventilation, RSI medication administration, procedural sedation, chest tube care, and tracheostomy care.
- Ability to independently manage trauma patients and emergencies, including pediatric and NICU/PICU boarders held in ED.
- Every other weekend schedule, with auto-approved RTO up to 5 days (consecutive days extend contract by one week).
