Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Days Shift Located within the healthcare organization, this position involves providing patient care on a 42-bed medical surgical unit. The role supports a dyad model with a virtual nurse, CNA, and telehealth services, ensuring comprehensive patient management.
Job Details
- Position: Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN)
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical surgical nursing; Valid nursing license; Driver's license; Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility and not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facility of the organization.
- Additional Information: RN's will pass/fail an open-book exam on skills learned during orientation, requiring at least a 90% to pass. Artificial nails are prohibited across patient care departments. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6/7, with a virtual nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:30. Telehealth services are centralized and on the floor. The first week includes classroom training followed by 2 days of on-floor orientation.
- Responsibilities include managing medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients, overseeing titratable drips (Heparin), and collaborating with a charge nurse.
