- 24-hour shifts with some 12-hour shifts -- 3 - 6 shifts per month
- Annual ED volume: 5,000 - 6,000 patients
- Hospital setting -- emergency medicine coverage
- Single coverage -- no midlevels on shift
- ATLS, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
